My oldest daughter, Aubrey, made a public display of her talents at a birthday party a few months ago. The video of her dance moves was only a few million views away from “going viral.”
In my efforts to start moving more and consuming less, a.k.a. diet and exercise, I purchased “Just Dance 2” for our Wii. (Also because it is awesome.)
There are around 40 songs with dance routines on the game and the first one that pops up when you start the game is “Tik-Tok” by Ke$sha. Yes, I realize she is practically illiterate. My four-year-old can spell ‘tick tock.’ And the $ sign? Don’t get me started. Regardless, the song is catchy and it is not uncommon to hear somebody in my house singing the song to themselves. (Also please note that any *bad* words are bleeped. Just thought I’d save somebody an email.)
Which is what happened this past weekend:
Aubrey: Wake up in the mornin’ feelin’ like P-Diddy… Momma. Who is P-Diddy?
Me: A singer.
Aubrey: What does he sing?
Me: *blank stare* Uh…..
I couldn’t think of one single song he sings.
Me: I don’t know really. He’s sort of a rapper? I think?
Aubrey: Oh. Well, what does he feel like when he wakes up in the morning?
I got nothing.
What’s the last thing one of your kid’s asked you that totally stumped you? And seriously, can you name a song P-Diddy sings?
