I’m Baaaaaaa-aaaaack!
We had a great time even though I wasn’t able to meet with my agent due to a family emergency. Zeb and I went and saw Rock of Ages (with Constantine from American Idol- not of fan of his from Idol but I am now!) and Wicked which was AMAZING!
We did a lot of subway riding and walking and really enjoyed being together and in the city. I was ready to get back to my kids by the time we left! And I’m fairly certain Shuggie was ready for me to be back, as well!
Aubrey and Emma rode with me to a chiropractor appointment yesterday afternoon, Sadie stayed home with Shuggie and while we were waiting to be seen, Aubrey wrung her hands and said, “Poooooor Shuggie!”
Me: Why poor Shuggie?
Aubrey: Her doesn’t have one more kid…
Me: I’m pretty sure she’s OK.
I called my mom to tell her what Aubrey said, and she said, “Tell her not to worry. I have one sleeping baby and I am FINE!”
Robin’s Chicks T-Shirts
Hello Chicks and Chick Magnets!
I’ve had some requests from a couple of co-head cheerleaders for t-shirts sporting the Robin’s Chicks logo. I am looking into the costs involved and wondering how many people would be interested in buying one. I’ll keep the cost as low as possible, enough to cover the shirt and shipping. The guys shirt will be manly and have a different logo on it.
If you are interested just leave your name and t-shirt size in the comments section so I can get an idea of where to start.
I’m BA-AACK!
Hello Peeps!
Sorry for the brief posting hiatus, I’ve been very busy working on new and exciting writing projects that I will hopefully be able to share with you very soon. That on top of the fact that our first two weeks of summer vacation resulted in 40 degree temperatures and TORRENTIAL rains translates into Mommy having to do a WHOLE lot of entertaining the kiddos. The latest from the Moultrie News is that they are going to start running my articles in the paper until the website is up and running, again, I’ll keep you posted on this and let you know when and where the articles will be available. Hope everybody has a great Thursday!
Update: The Moultrie News
Just in case you were wondering, I am still going to be an online columnist for The Moultrie News. They are totally rebuilding their website and have had a few delays, it should be up in running in the next week or two and I will post the links and info as I get it!
My Disney Souvenir
Disney Drama: Day 3
On Day 3 we spent the EN-TIRE day at the pool. There was a huge water slide which Aubrey and Emma played on for 3 consecutive hours: down the slide, climb the ladder, up the steps, down the slide, rinse and repeat.
Sadie Plum, who it turns out is a true Southern Belle, spent the day lolling about in the shade of her stroller, reclined with a huge sunhat to shade her delicate face and a miniature battery-operated box fan blowing a cool breeze on her lest she perspire.
The girls played at the pool until Emma, took off her life jacket, threw it to the ground and proclaimed in tears, “I done! I go home, NOW!” We retired to our room for naps and showers before meeting some of our Auburn friends for dinner.
I am VERY proud to say that my girls acted like little ladies at the restaurant. Aubrey even unfolded her napkin and placed it primly in her lap as soon as her silverware was placed in front of her. They ate their chicken and broccoli without so much as a peep. The only typical moment during the whole dinner was after Aubrey returned from a potty break. She announced to the entire table, “Eating vegetables makes you have to potty… hard!” Thank you Dr Oz, for the quick lesson on fiber.
