Because she IS actually a baby. She will “cry” like this in her carseat or in the grocery store and when I ask her if she’s okay she just laughs and says, “I been baby, Momma!” My mother-in-law begged me to capture it on camera, so I did!
Preschool Dropout
This is what I’m workin’ with.
Sadie Said: Coo-Coo
Thank the sweet Lord in Heaven above! I feel good today for the first time in over a month! The big girls are at a day camp, and after dropping them off, Miss Sadie and I headed to Wal-Mart for the first time in about 5 weeks. (I’m not kidding when I say I was sick. I all but had bedsores I was in the bed for so long.)
We just needed some random groceries and household stuff and it felt amazing to be out of the house and to not feel sick. Sadie kept puckering up her little pillow lips to kiss me and reaching up for hugs, while bouncing her fat baby feet. She was so happy to be back in our routine.
I guess I let my guard down, and turned away from my shopping cart one too many times. Because while trying to decide which Netie Pot to purchase I looked over at Sadie just as she lifted her dress above her head and yelled, “COO-COO!” to an old man walking by. Her diaper was GONE, and she was proudly showing her biznass, i.e., her coo-coo, to anyone and everyone. Regardless if they wanted to see it or not.
Look out people, we’re back.
Sadie Said: Da-Da
YAY! I’m so excited that I get to post what Sadie is saying these days!
Last week I took Sadie with me to a local shoe store to buy a pair of new sandals for Emma. As a young African American man checked me out, Sadie grinned her toothy smile, threw her arms wide open, leaned toward the man and YELLED, “DA-DA!”
He and I fell over laughing.
“No offense,” I said. “But you look NUTHIN like her Daddy!”
This one goes out to Connie and all the CCU nurses and patients who are reading Robin’s Chicks! Y’all ROCK!
