As soon as I opened my eyes and got out of bed this morning Aubrey was standing in my bedroom pointing at my laundry hamper, “Momma the laundry is overfloating…”
Ahh yes, happy Saturday!

This morning while the girls were buckling themselves into their carseats Emma handed Aubrey her Beanie Baby pig to hold. Aubrey said, “Oh here you go Emma, I will put Wilbur in my purse! I’m a REAL lady now!”
Because what real lady would be caught without a pig in her purse, right?

Sadie Plum is growing up fast. She army crawls all over the house as fast as her sisters can walk, and has turned into Mommy’s Little Hoover. I spend a good portion of everyday sweeping and vacuuming invisble crumbs, but somehow (probably has something to do with her two sister) she always finds something to chomp on.
Sadie is saying Ma-Ma and Da-Da…quite indiscriminately, I might add, and Aubrey could not be prouder. “Oh Momma, her is learning words and how to talk!” Aubrey will squeal as Sadie holds a stuffed monkey and calls it “Ma-Ma.” (I know, I know…easy mistake.)
This morning I was changing Sadie’s diaper on her changing table and Aubrey was in her face cooing and kissing her. Sadie was excited by Aubrey’s attention and flailing her arms around, when she socked Aubrey right in the nose with her little fist. Most kids would cry, or be mad…not Aubrey. She said, “Awww, Sadie! Momma her just punched me right in the nose! She is gettin’ big and learning how to be tough!”
And so it begins…

Every Friday at Aubrey’s school, they have Show and Tell. Today she took her Webkinz Guinea Pig which she very creatively named “Fuzzy” (Futhy, if you are listening to her.) Here is our afterschool convo about Show and Tell:
Me: What did your friends think about Fuzzy?
Aubrey: They LOVED him! Everybody said, “Awwwwwle!” when they saw him and then I just tooted a little bit, but I said “Excuse me…”
Never been to a scratch and sniff Show and Tell…have you?

Oh yes, she did. Several hours into our drive to Alabama…
Aubrey: Mommy…how do babies get in your tummy?
Me: We’ll talk about it later Aubrey. It’s a really long story.
One hour later:
Aubrey: Mommy, I’m ready to hear that story about how babies get in your tummy now.

On the long haul from Charleston to Alabamer we watched Shrek 2 about 5 times. At the end of the movie Puss in Boots sings Livin’ La Vida Loca. HERE are Aubrey’s words, Emma was actually singing it correctly until Aubrey “taught” her the right words (“Repeat after ME, Emma…):
Rail, Run, Grow
