Just realized my links on the last post were messed up, will post again! Sorry for the random mix up!
Driving Miss Sadie
Sadie thinks she can drive. She’s two. It is simultaneously annoying and like everything else she does, hilarious and precious.
Me: *Stops at yellow light.* (Because my kids are in the car so I don’t floor it. Aubrey told me once, “Green means go. Red means stop and yellow means stop, too. If you’re a boy. But yellow means go if you’re a girl.” Oopsie.)
Sadie: GOOOO! Momma! Go!
Me: We can’t go, the light is red.
Sadie: Okay, Mom.
Me: *Stops in the middle of the road, hits blinker and waits to turn across traffic.*
Sadie: GOOOOOO! MOMMA! GOOOOO!
Me: Do you want me to total my car?? I can’t GOOOOOOO.
Sadie: Okay, Mom.
Me: *Stops in traffic to avoid rear-ending the car in front of me.*
Sadie: (at full volume) GOOOOOOOOO! MOMMA! GOOOOOO!
Me: You are TWO, you don’t know how to drive. Be quiet and watch Elmo.
Sadie: Okay, Mom.
She is bossy. And impatient.
(No, I have no idea from whence this behavior came.)
Got any funny car stories about your kids?
Harry Potter
I mean, really? I assure you that my two-year-old has never, EVER seen Harry Potter. Every time the big girls want to watch something on TV I ask them what they want to watch, Aubrey and Emma usually vote for SpongeBob and Tom & Jerry, respectively.
Sadie always, ALWAYS busts in with, “I wanna watch Harry Potter, Mom.” She doesn’t know how old she is. Or what she is talking about.
Silly baby.
Scripture Memorization with Beth Moore
Okay, so here I am being accountable to all of you with my Scripture memory verses.
6) “Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” 1 Corinthians 15:58 NIV
5) “I’ll run the course you lay out for me if you’ll just show me how. God, teach me lessons for living so I can stay the course.” Psalm 119: 32-33 The Message
4)”He will have no fear of bad news, his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord. His heart is secure, he will have no fear; in the end he will look in triumph on his foes.” Psalm 112:7-8 NIV
3)”Patient endurance is what you need now, so you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that He has promised.” Hebrews 10:36 NLT
2)“I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart. Wait, I say, on the Lord!” Ps 27:13-14 NKJV
1) “For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken.” Psalm 62:5-6 (ESV)

10 Things I Learned in 2010
10- Emma knows the words to every song she’s ever heard.
9- If I ever need prayer or encouragement I just need to ask Aubrey to share a few words. (Ahem, please contact me to book her for speaking engagements.)
1- I wouldn’t trade places with anyone in the world.
I’m ready to kick this year in the butt as my screen door slams shut behind it. Bring it 2011. Bring it.
