Happy New Year!
I can’t believe that 2010 is upon us! This year has been a blur of wonderful and amazing events which started about this time last year with the birth of my third child. A little idea I had in the middle of the night, turned into a blog, a newspaper column and then finally (well, almost) a book.
We moved this year for the 9th time in less than 12 years and I have collected friends, like souvenirs all across the country. I stood in the kitchen tonight, of what is most definitely my dream home and was overflowing with contentment and happiness at the blessings God has given me: a supportive husband (whom I love and almost always like), 3 healthy children, and a career that I never dreamed was actually possible.
And YOU are such a big part of that. You have laughed with me, and at me (maybe mostly at me, but I’m OK with that)…you have encouraged me, defended me and cheered me on. And I am so, SO incredibly thankful for you. Without you, what I do would be no fun…and without someone to laugh with, I would most definitely be crying.
May 2010 bring you all the happiness and contentment I’ve felt this year, and may YOUR wildest dream come true.
XOXO
Prayers for Mommy Sara
I learned my SC BFF is seriously under the weather, so tonight as I tucked the girls in the bed, I told them that we should pray for Mommy Sara. The prayers went as follows:
Emma: Deah God, fank you for my mommy, and sistahs and my Mommy Sawa and Fistan (Tristan, my BFF’s son) and for all of us. And help Mommy Sawa feel bettah so huh won’t be sick anytmo-ah. Amen.
Aubrey: Dear God, thank you for my family. And help my Mommy Sara feel better so her can go to work and take care of Tristan (aww!) and to work for Tristan’s daddy…(Say who?)
A-MEN.
Amen, indeed.
