OK, so I teased you all yesterday via twitter and Facebook about some exciting blog news…here it is. I am going to be doing a blog series on Super (Silly) Moms. These are women I look up to, respect, and most importantly, make me laugh out loud. (Think snorting, snot bubbles and peeing of pants. I’m talking UGLY laughing.)

I was doing The Happy Bootay Dance in my kitchen yesterday (sans curtains) because I had three really amazing women commit within about five minutes of each other. Some of these women I discovered at the bookstore, on twitter or on television and if you haven’t met them, I am BEYOND excited to introduce you!

White Chicken Chili

I made this for dinner last night and it was too good not to share. I used 4 chicken breasts, a box of chicken broth, and 3 cans of drained northern beans, otherwise I followed the recipe and served it with shredded cheese and cornbread. YUM!

Momma Said: Calgon, Take Me Away

Just wanted to recap the past week for you in case you’ve been wondering where I’ve been:
Emma-sick, ear infection, antibiotics and diarrhea
Huzband-sick and muy exhausted
Baby Sadie-teething, ear infection, antibiotics
Me-sneezing for the last 48 hours and trying to main line vitamin C

The weekend:
Saturday: tried to catch up on sleep the entire family missed on Friday night, when Emma and Aubrey BURST into our bedroom in the middle of the night screaming. Zeb and I sat straight up in the bed…as did Sadie, in her room. Apparently Emma was trying to sneak into our bed and got busted by Aubrey who didn’t want to be left alone in their bedroom. Emma was crying because Aubrey was chasing her. Aubrey was crying because Emma was leaving her. It was tons of fun.

Sunday: HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! We celebrated by taking our kids to two different churches in less than a ten hour span. (Which, all sarcasm aside, was the bright point in a really sucky week.) The kids went to bed hopped up on sugar and wild. Sadie woke up no less than three times.

Monday: Today, Emma came home from school with someone else’s dirty underpants in her backpack. They were in a Ziploc bag with someone else’s name written on it. I was confursed. But not near as confursed as I was when I walked in on Emma in the bathroom a few minutes later and found her WEARING someone else’s underwear.

As Emma would say, “It’s a miss-ah-ree.” And one I am much too tired to try to solve.

Emma is in her bedroom right now, yelling at Elizabeth, Aubrey and Sadie Plum, “WHO BWOKE MY CON-POO-TAH?” (That’d be her Nickbook she got for Christmas.)

Emma’s Antics: Pudding

Not to be confused with my neice, Puddin’. That’s not really her name but her parents can’t decide what to call her (Marianna, Mary Wilkes or Wilkes) so we are all sticking with Puddin’ til they make up their minds.

At any rate, I am trying desperately to get my fitness on again. I put Sadie in the car to go to a spin class today and came back inside to get Emma, who was hiding in the laundry room, eating PUDDING out of the package. That’d be the powdered kind. And yes, that is a basket FULL of clean laundry COMPLETELY covered in pudding mix.

This still isn’t funny to me. Mostly because even though I knocked the pudding off of the clothes outside and swept, I still haven’t mopped the floor and wiped down the cabinets like I need to. So you just go ahead and laugh for me, OK? I’m going to wait until I’m a MeeMaw and Emma has a child just like her.
