PSA: Coupons
The Hubster and I have started working through Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace. It’s a great way to get your finances organized, budget your money and start working towards your financial goals. Because of this I have morphed into my grandmother (I could only DREAM to be as savvy a shopper as she was!) and begun clipping coupons.
There is something fabulous about seeing your grocery bill and then seeing how much you saved. At any rate, I found this website called Coupon Divas, if you sign up to be on their mailing list they will email you when they have new deals. (I’ve only gotten about one email a day.) Right now they have 153 printable manufacturer’s coupons on their site. (This means you can use them anywhere.) And the products are good, one of the problems I’ve had with couponing is that often the product that is “on sale” is something I wouldn’t normally buy. The site is very easy to use.
(And no I didn’t get anything free from anybody to post this…FCC.)
Happy Easter
I can’t believe it’s already Easter. This time last year Sadie, and my blog were infants. We were still in South Carolina, not knowing where our next move would take us…or for how long.
I joke around about most everything. I am able to make fun of myself and laugh publicly at my mistakes. But if there is one thing in my life that is no laughing matter it is the sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross for me.
It may sound hokey to you. But I can tell you that my relationship with Him has revolutionized my life.
He has given me peace when there was no peace. He has given me His strength when I didn’t have my own. He has given me joy in the midst of depression. He has made a way for me and my family when there was no way.
He is more than a historical figure. He is everything to me.
As I anticipate the reflection tomorrow will bring, remembering the most important day my faith holds dear, I just want you to know God wants good things for you.
If you have a need, if you are looking for joy, peace, wisdom and rest…I know where you can find them and I would be glad to pray with you or for you. (You can email me privately at zebandrobin@hotmail.com)
Thanks for hanging out with me here, and making Robin’s Chicks such a fun place to be! Don’t worry, tomorrow my silliness will overtake my good sense!
XOXO
Aubrey Said: Recess Panic
Yesterday I picked Aubrey (5) up from school and she started talking before the car door even shut behind her.
A: MOMMA! We had a PANIC at recess today!
Me: You did? What happened?
A: We saw a mommy bee poop out a baby bee!
Me: Huh?
A: WE SAW A MOMMY BEE POOP OUT A BABY BEE!
Me: No you didn’t.
A: Ok, I didn’t.
Me: Really?
A: No, I was kidding you. We really did. I guess bees just really like to do it in the Spring?
I gulped back some bile, turned up the movie that was playing in the backseat for my 3-year-old and her best friend, and asked, “Do WHAT, Aubrey?”
A: Poop their babies out! Gah!
