For the last two weeks everybody in my house save The Husband has been on antibiotics. We have had a tooth pulled…
“Mommy? I can’t feel myself anymore…”
And after a four hour round trip drive to see a pediatrician Sadie was diagnosed with “a little pneumonia” which says a lot about her disposition and general meanness as of late.
As you may or may not know, I was sick with Not Scarlet Fever and I’m still recovering. Sadie and I have been spending entirely too much time together and we are beginning (ahem) to get on each other’s nerves. Just the other day while we were laying on the couch watching Spongebob and she snatched away my favorite box of gluten-free cereal while my hand was in the box, sending cinnamony goodness hurtling all over the den and yelled at me, “NO MORE SNACKS MOMMA!”
Apparently I was wearing my sad face because she followed up with, “Awwww! Don’t be saaaaaad!”
I’ve been working really hard at that whole “If You Don’t Have Anything Nice to Say” thing– so sorry for my silence, but also? You are welcome.
How are you this winter? Is it 80 degrees at your house one day and 37 the next? Have your children driven you right over the edge of sanity? Holla at me. How you doin’?

A-I had a little pneumonia last month and the pocket in my lung hurt so bad I wanted to ask the doc how “little” it was.

Well, you know I feel your pain, both on the illness and the weather fronts. In fact, I bet the weather is RESPONSIBLE for the illnesses! Ha-HA!

I blame Diane Sawyer for ALL of it.

Well, I’ve opted to NOT get The Daughters a flu shot or flu mist this season because 1) I didn’t want to fight them and 2) last winter we forgot and it was the first winter they didn’t get sick.
BUT, I’m finding myself wanting just a low-grade fever so I can have just a little down time! It’s apparent (with our 60+ degree weather) that we’re not getting a snow day!!
Also, we had a tooth pulled as well, but Daughter 2 didn’t get the laughing gas – that story’s coming up on Minivan Momma.com!

We just finished being sick here, as well. Little girl’s still got a bit of it, so that means a fun filled trip to the doctor….because taking twins to the doctor is the height of fun around here. As for the weather, Kansas City is nuts. We haven’t had any snow. We’re usually covered by now, but it’s be weirdly warm. Waiting for snow in April…

BLECH! The worst part about going to the doctor is having to drag well ones WITH the sick ones, right?

Very, very tired of the crazy weather. We are in Texas now and its ridiculous. Cold and windy one day…short sleeves and t shirts the next. And then back home, in Alabama, they are having tornado warnings…in January! What’s up with that? Hope you are feeling better!
