My kids have brought the funny this week. Here’s a little medley for ya.
___
I was helping Aubrey rinse her hair and she yelled, “HEY WATCH IT MOMMA! YOU ARE BURNING MY SCALLOP!
___
In the car on the way to school I let Sadie watch Elmo’s World, “The Great Outdoors.” Elmo was telling Dorothy all about wild animals, apparently there was a photo montage and Emma said, “OH! I didn’t know squirrels and raccoons were WI-ULD andamals…”
Aubrey said, “Whadaya think? A raccoon is a house pet????”
___
Emma was eating dinner. “Momma, I got some good news and I got some bad news. The good news is, I didn’t get my car moved today.” (Basically getting her name on the board, which is she got in BIG BIG TRO TRO about at home a few weeks ago. Amazing what a couple of days without electronics or television will do to a child’s disposition.)
She continued, “The good news is, I didn’t get my car moved. The bad news is *Amy’s did.”
“That’s not really bad news… for us.”
*Name changed to protect the naughty.
___
Sadie woke up just in time to leave for carpool but not in time to use the restroom. I left her in her pull-up in case she couldn’t wait until we got home to use the bathroom. I got home and started cooking dinner and totally forgot to put her in her Big Guhl pants.
She walked into the kitchen, “I hab poo-poo in my pants.”
Me: Why did you do that? Why didn’t you go to the potty?
Sadie: My Daddy is in chahrge ob me.
That was her explanation. That’s it. That’s all she had. Her Daddy wasn’t even in the house.
Tell us what your kids have said lately that made you laugh out loud!

Love love love the kiddie funnies. It’s good to remember that they are cute and hilarious lest me clock them in a moment of mommy mania. THey sound adorable.
