Sadie (2) falls asleep in the car on a regular basis when we are going to pick Emma (4) up from preschool, but I can never get her transferred to her bed without waking her up. Then she cries. And we read books. And we sing the ABCs. And we rock. And we sing Barney. And we rock. And finally she sleeps.
So I was a little surprised when she fell asleep on our way to the grocery store this morning and didn’t wake up when I got her out of her carseat. OR when I carried her through the freezing cold into the store. OR when I got a buggy. (That’s a grocery cart to all you Yanks.) OR when I laid her in the buggy…
OR when I spent 45 minutes grocery shopping. Seriously, I’ve been tired in my life, but I don’t EVER think I’ve been tired enough to sleep on a wire rack.
She woke up just as I was checking out and had the same look on her face that I have when I to watch “Axe Men.” (Lots of crinkled eyebrows and, “Say WHUT-s?”)

Oh so cute!

Awe… she WAS tired!!! TOO cute!

The best part is that there are groceries on top of her! Love that
Next time I have insomnia, I'll pretend to be her.
Robin says
Kimberly, you make me LOL everysingletime. I <3 you! I will pretend to be her too! I ran out of places to stash stuff. I just put the light stuff on her…

HA! This is HILARIOUS. She's so cute there in the cart. And I love that "say-WHUT" look my kids give when they wake up. My daughter fell asleep in the car the other day and woke up on the couch (I had moved her) and was sooo confused. It was adorable.
