Sometimes, when it’s cold outside, to lure my children into the bed, I put their blankies in the dryer and get them toasty warm while they are brushing their teeth. I pull their covers back and toss the blankies underneath the comforter. They always, always, run to get in the bed before the blankets cool off.
The other night I tucked Emma’s little Lovey around her skinny, bare legs. She shivered and said, “Oh Momma, I wub it when my skin gets all spiky!”
I love it when she describes something so perfectly in her own wittle words.

when my girls were little, I made up a game called, "Let's see who can get their pajamas on the fastest and get into bed first." Worked every night!!
