Toothpaste is not good for eczema. Sadie has been slathering herself down with it daily for the last 3 days and it looks like she stepped in an ant bed. I keep thinking I’ve gotten it all out of her reach and then I turn around and her legs are solid white and minty fresh.
On a different note, Emma, my 4-year-old, has discovered something new she loves to do. She loves to poke her finger through the plastic wrap of everything in the grocery store. You know the little styrofoam trays of broccoli? POP! Trays of cauliflower and squash? POP! Trays of grapes? POP! Trays of raw steak, hamburger and chicken? Pop! Pop! POP!
She’s so freakin’ fast! I hear a cacophony (great word by the way) of popping behind me and before I know it, every prepackaged tray of food within arms reach has been violated. My mommy tip? Look for holes in the plastic wrap and wash your food. I’d hate to even guess where that finger has been…

How funny that you would mention that! I just discovered the toothpaste/excema outbreak connection last week with my son – I had no idea it would affect the skin so badly. It even took me a little while that day to realize it was the toothpaste and not a food reaction. Lesson learned.

Robin,
You might not feel the same way if you wanted to get a package of chicken breasts without finger holes popped in them!!
OOPSIE!

Uh oh- you've definitely given yourself away as living in Mississippi. Only in MS do they wrap vegetables in styrofoam and saran wrap! I love it.
Be glad she isn't holding her hand out of the side of the cart and racking packages of gum to the floor. I also had a Walmart Mom moment with SDS the other day over that very sort of behavior. Hundreds of packages of gum across the floor while I was putting groceries on belt…um, yeah.
xoxo- You make me laugh.

I'm 33 and I love to randomly squish loaves of bread (thank you Wal-mart for making the bag so thin) or grab the bottom of a chip bag & make more chip crumbs.
I think it's good that Emma & I live in different states.
