Today while I was recovering in the hospital, my 2 oldest girls and my niece, Ella Grace, went to pick blueberries with some of my friends and to play at the park. The girls came home happy, tired and stained purple.
Shortly before dinner time Emma and Ella Grace, both 4 years old, decided they were hungry and started to open the refrigerator to retrieve their blueberries.
“Y’all wait a minute,” my mother told her granddaughters. “Y’all have been eating blueberries all day. Somebody is on their way over here with dinner, just wait and eat a meal!”
Ella Grace and Emma looked at each other and clapped. Ella Grace said, “Oh! Good! We won’t even have to cook!”
