In response to another suggestion from a friend, I’m going to start sharing some of my favorite recipes. I’ve been known to throw it down in the kitchen, Bobby Flay style. All of my recipes are NOT original and I’ll give credit where credit is due, when I can figure out where they originated.
Tonight I made my favorite dessert in the EN-tire world, Peanut Butter Pie. Why? Because I deserved it. (And because my brother refused to Fed-Ex a piece of the one he made!)
This is the recipe served at The Original Oyster House in Gulf Shores, and I KNOW they won’t mind me sharing it because they’ll hand you a copy themselves, if you ask for it.
8oz cream cheese, room temp
8oz whipped topping, room temp
1 cup peanut butter
8oz powdered sugar
3/4 c mini-chocolate chips
1 chocolate graham cracker pie crust
Blend together cream cheese, peanut butter, whipped topping, and powdered sugar. Fold in chocolate chips. Pour into pie shell and chill for 2-3 hours or until you can no longer stand the suspense. You’re welcome. Or I’m sorry, depending on how you feel about me next time you step on the scales.
